Decades ago, they braved bullets and bombs, risking their lives for their country.
Each of these Soldiers’ bravery was previously recognized by award of the Distinguished Service Cross, the nation’s second highest military award; that award will be upgraded to the Medal of Honor in recognition of their gallantry, intrepidity and heroism above and beyond the call of duty.
Beginning March 6, the U.S. Army Online & Social Media Division will honor the #Valor24 nominees by sharing content about two different nominees each day, culminating in a March 18 Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House that will be streamed online. Visit the official U.S. Army Facebook page to access personal photographs, historical facts, biographies, award citations and much more!
