Army chief of staff travels across Middle East

6blog post 04-28Casey re-enlisted a group of TF soldiers before receiving an update on the advise and assist brigade mission. Casey told the assembled troops that, “you are here at a critical time and Iraq is moving in the right direction.” He then told Soldiers to guard against complacency and renew their focus on basic Soldier skills.

7blog post 04-28Gen. George W. Casey Jr., Army Chief of staff visited units from Task Force Marne at Forward Operating Base Marez. Casey presented Purple Hearts to Soldiers wounded in action, valor awards, combat infantry, combat action and combat medical badges as well as Chief of Staff coins for outstanding performance of duties.
