287th Sustainment Brigade Support Operations Plans Officer in Charge, Capt. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers host Iraq scout event

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is not only constructing buildings – but lasting bonds. This scouting event with local boys in Baghdad helped to connect the future leaders in Iraq with U.S. Army Soldiers and civilians.

These type of missions need to be offered to the combat arms soldiers more often. We rarely saw the good going outside the wire day in and day out and maybe it was just easier to do our job and forget the human side of it all. The only encounters with kids we had was their little mob mentality when they would rush our vehicles expecting candy and handouts. But the types of stories you are sharing need to be the ones rememberd and I thank you for posting.
